Kundasang is located about 106 km from Kota Kinabalu, and the journey usually takes more than 3 hours due to the uphill roads, single-lane sections, fog 😶‍🌫️, and slower traffic caused by heavy vehicles 🚛.
There is no highway 🛣️ like in the city, where you can drive at 120 km/h and reach the destination within an hour 😅.

There are no streetlights along the road from Tamparuli (about 67 km from our place), and most resorts, villas, and vacation houses are located away from the main road.
Therefore, self-driving can be quite challenging for city visitors, especially at night 🌃.

Similar to Cameron Highlands, Kundasang is an agricultural area. Therefore, flies are part of the environment here and come with the territory 🪰😆
